Barrowby clinch third plays in Mid Lincs League – Under 15A

Clayton (U15) 0  Barrowby (U15) 2

In their final game of the season Barrowby attack Clayton from the off but are unable to break through. Clayton then have a spell of their own and put Barrowby under pressure but find keeper Liam Asplen in fine form.

On 25 minutes a goal kick is flicked on to Ryan Evans who turns sharply and fires into the net 1-0.

The second half starts and Kyle Scott starts to dominate the centre of the field. Midway through the half Ryan passes to Kyle, with a great touch he drives at their defence playing a great through ball for Ollie Reid to fire home 2-0.

The score remains 2-0 and Barrowby clinch third place in the under 15A league.

Well done lads a great season!

Man of the Match:

Kyle Scott always wanted the ball and chased everything.

Team that played:

Liam Asplen, Sam Evans, Rui Cardoso, Frazer Wingad, Ross Hollingworth, Curtis Page, Oliver Hayward, Ryan Evans, Josh White, Kyle Scott, Oliver Reid

Also Steve Bob Jason and the rest of the team would like to wish David a speedy recovery as he broke his leg at training on Saturday.

Hawks win well away from home

JFC Boston Rangers (U15) 1   Barrowby (U15) 3

Barrowby start the game very brightly and are awarded a corner which Ross Hollingworth takes. He delivers a superb cross into the box which is headed out the box only for Ross Hollingworth to pick up and he fires a shot into the back of the net 1-0.

Barrowby are now on the front foot and are starting to dominate the game. Rui Cardoso then floats a free kick high in to the box Oliver Reid heads towards goal, the goalkeeper fumbles and Kyle Scott heads home number 2.

In the second half Boston start the brighter and pull a goal back after 7 minutes 2-1.

This wakes Barrowby up when Kyle Scott robs the sleeping defender and fires in a shot the keeper saves,  Ollie Hayward fires in a second shot and again the keeper saves but this time David Croke beat the keeper with an unstoppable bullet like strike, 3-1.

With five minutes remaining Liam Asplen produces a super save to keep the score 3-1.
